Description: The issue is a heap-based buffer overflow of 8 bytes in the MqttDecode Publish function, which is called from MqttClient DecodePacket and MqttClient HandlePacket.
Recommendations: For wolfSSL wolfMQTT version 1.9, consider disabling the MqttDecode Publish function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the MqttClient DecodePacket and MqttClient HandlePacket functions to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
