Description:
The issue is related to the hw breakpoint mechanism in the Linux Kernel. It has been identified that directly checking the event's overflow handler hook may pose a potential security risk. However, the actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven. The issue was introduced in version v4.7 and is fixed in Linux Kernel version v4.14.233.
Recommendations:
For Linux Kernel versions prior to v4.14.233, update to version v4.14.233 or later to resolve the issue.
