Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Linux Kernel versions prior to v5.12.13
Description:
A potential use-after-free issue in the Linux Kernel's ethernet component, specifically in the
ec bhf remove function, has been identified. The actual impact and attack plausibility of this issue have not yet been proven.Recommendations:
For Linux Kernel versions prior to v5.12.13, update to version v5.12.13 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ethernet component until a patch is available.
