Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the
strlen function, which can cause a mount failure in ocfs2. The actual impact and attack plausibility have not yet been proven.Recommendations
For versions prior to v4.9.288, update to Linux Kernel version v4.9.288 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
