Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Linux Kernel versions prior to v4.9.272
Description
A memory leak issue exists in the Linux Kernel, specifically in the
cfusbl device notify function of the CAIF (Common Application Interface Framework) module. The actual impact and attack plausibility of this issue have not yet been proven.Recommendations
For Linux Kernel versions prior to v4.9.272, update to version v4.9.272 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the CAIF module to minimize the risk of exploitation.
