VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Photoshop versions 21.2.6 and earlier Adobe Photoshop versions 22.3 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a Buffer Overflow vulnerability when parsing a specially crafted file, which could allow an unauthenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability can be triggered by a specially crafted JSX or PDF file.
Recommendations For Adobe Photoshop versions 21.2.6 and earlier, update to a version later than 21.2.6 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Photoshop versions 22.3 and earlier, update to a version later than 22.3 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of specially crafted JSX or PDF files until a patch is available. Restrict access to untrusted files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
