CVE-2021-30555

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 91.0.4472.114
Description The issue is related to a use after free in the Sharing component of Google Chrome, which could potentially allow an attacker to exploit heap corruption. This could happen if an attacker convinces a user to install a malicious extension and the user interacts with a crafted HTML page. The exploitation may result in a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 91.0.4472.114, update to version 91.0.4472.114 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the Sharing extension until a patch is available. Restrict access to crafted HTML pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the Sharing feature in Google Chrome until the issue is resolved.
