Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Google Chrome versions prior to 90.0.4430.85
Description
The issue is related to an out of bounds memory access in the V8 engine of Google Chrome, which could allow a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page. This may lead to unauthorized access to confidential information or cause a denial of service. The vulnerability is associated with the Array.prototype.concat implementation in V8.
Recommendations
For Google Chrome versions prior to 90.0.4430.85, update to version 90.0.4430.85 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially vulnerable HTML pages until the update is applied. Avoid using the
Array.prototype.concat function in sensitive operations until the issue is resolved.Fix
