Description
The issue is related to a heap-based buffer overflow in dynamic memory, which can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code in the target system. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user by parsing a specially crafted file. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, as a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations
For Adobe After Effects versions 18.2 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent arbitrary code execution.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
