Description
The issue is related to an out of bounds write in the Tab Groups component of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. This occurs when handling untrusted HTML content, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted web page. An attacker who convinces a user to install a malicious extension can perform an out of bounds memory write via a crafted HTML page.
Recommendations
For Google Chrome versions prior to 92.0.4515.131, update to version 92.0.4515.131 or later to resolve the issue.
For Microsoft Edge, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
