Description
The issue is related to an uninitialized pointer vulnerability when parsing a specially crafted file, which could allow an unauthenticated attacker to read arbitrary file system information in the context of the current user. This requires user interaction, such as opening a malicious file. The vulnerability is also described as being due to insufficient input validation, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted MP4 file.
Recommendations
For Adobe Media Encoder version 15.2 and earlier, update to a version that addresses the uninitialized pointer vulnerability and insufficient input validation issue to prevent exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
