CVE-2021-32917

CVSS v3.1

5.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:L
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Prosody versions prior to 0.11.9
Description The issue is related to the proxy65 component of the Prosody server for Jabber/XMPP, which allows open access by default. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service, allowing unrestricted use of the server's bandwidth.
Recommendations For versions prior to 0.11.9, update to version 0.11.9 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the proxy65 component to minimize the risk of exploitation.
