| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Tor versions prior to 0.4.6.5
Description
The issue is related to errors in authorization, allowing a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. An attacker can forge RELAY END or RELAY RESOLVED to bypass the intended access control for ending a stream.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 0.4.6.5, update to version 0.4.6.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the RELAY END and RELAY RESOLVED functions to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
Authentication Bypass by Spoofing
