Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
D-Link DIR-880L version 1.07
Description
The issue is related to insufficient protection of registration data in the telnet service of the D-Link DIR-880L router's firmware. This allows an unauthenticated attacker to gain access to the firmware and extract sensitive data through decompilation of the firmware.
Recommendations
For D-Link DIR-880L version 1.07, consider disabling the telnet service as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the firmware to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
