CVE-2021-30529

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 91.0.4472.77
Description The issue is related to a use after free vulnerability in the Bookmarks component of Google Chrome. This could allow a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise its integrity, and cause a denial of service using a specially crafted HTML page. An attacker who convinces a user to install a malicious extension could potentially exploit heap corruption.
Recommendations For versions prior to 91.0.4472.77, update to version 91.0.4472.77 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the Bookmarks component until the issue is resolved.
