CVE-2021-30527

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 91.0.4472.77
Description The issue is related to a use after free in the WebUI of Google Chrome, which could allow an attacker to exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page if a user is convinced to install a malicious extension. This could potentially lead to unauthorized access to confidential data, disruption of data integrity, and denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 91.0.4472.77, update to version 91.0.4472.77 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to trusted sources and avoiding the use of crafted HTML pages until the update is applied.
