VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions klibc versions prior to 2.0.9
Description An issue in the calloc() function may result in an integer overflow and a subsequent heap buffer overflow. This could allow a remote attacker to access confidential data, compromise its integrity, and cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2.0.9, update to version 2.0.9 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the calloc() function until a patch is available.
