CVE-2021-30552

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 91.0.4472.101
Description The issue is related to a use after free vulnerability in the Extensions component of Google Chrome, which can be exploited by an attacker to access confidential data, compromise data integrity, and cause a denial of service using a specially crafted HTML page. This can occur when a user is convinced to install a malicious extension. The exploitation may lead to heap corruption.
Recommendations For versions prior to 91.0.4472.101, update to version 91.0.4472.101 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to trusted sources until the update is applied. Avoid using the Extensions component with untrusted or malicious extensions until the issue is resolved.
