CVE-2021-30511

CVSS v3.1

8.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 90.0.4430.212
Description The issue is related to an out of bounds read in Tab Groups, which allowed an attacker to perform an out of bounds memory read via a crafted HTML page if a user was convinced to install a malicious extension. This could potentially allow a remote attacker to access confidential data or cause a denial of service.
Recommendations For versions prior to 90.0.4430.212, update to version 90.0.4430.212 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions to trusted sources and avoiding the use of crafted HTML pages.
