Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Tizen RT RTOS version 3.0.GBB
Description
The issue is related to an integer wrap-around in the
functions calloc and mm zalloc functions, leading to improper memory assignment. This can result in arbitrary memory allocation, causing unexpected behavior such as a crash. The vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.Recommendations
For Tizen RT RTOS version 3.0.GBB, consider disabling the
functions calloc and mm zalloc functions as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to these functions to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Integer Overflow
