Description The issue is related to the mishandling of JavaScript, allowing attackers to trigger a use-after-free and execute arbitrary code. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow in memory, which can be exploited to achieve the same result.
Recommendations For Foxit PDF Reader versions prior to 11.1, update to version 11.1 or later to resolve the issue. For Foxit PDF Editor versions prior to 11.1, update to version 11.1 or later to resolve the issue. For Foxit PhantomPDF versions prior to 10.1.6, update to version 10.1.6 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling JavaScript handling in the affected software until a patch is available.
