VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.9.0 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a stored XSS vulnerability when creating Content Fragments. An authenticated attacker can send a malformed POST request to achieve arbitrary code execution. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim’s browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability is also associated with insufficient protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript code in a user's browser.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.9.0 and earlier, consider disabling the Content Fragments feature until a patch is available to prevent exploitation of the stored XSS vulnerability. Restrict access to the vulnerable field to minimize the risk of malicious JavaScript execution in a victim's browser. Avoid using the vulnerable Content Fragments feature until the issue is resolved.
