Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in Adobe InDesign, which could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious BMP file.
Recommendations
For Adobe InDesign versions 16.3 and earlier, and 16.3.1 and earlier, avoid opening malicious BMP files until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of BMP file parsing functionality in Adobe InDesign until a patch is available.
