Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Adobe InDesign, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code with the help of a specially crafted file. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious TIF file. This could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user.
Recommendations
For Adobe InDesign versions 16.3 and earlier, update to a version that fixes the out-of-bounds read vulnerability to prevent arbitrary code execution.
For Adobe InDesign versions 16.3.1 and earlier, update to a version that fixes the out-of-bounds read vulnerability to prevent arbitrary code execution.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of TIF files in Adobe InDesign until a patch is available.
