CVE-2021-43012

CVSS v2.0

9.3

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Prelude versions 10.1 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a memory corruption vulnerability due to data being written beyond the boundaries of a buffer in memory. This could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this vulnerability to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious M4A file.
Recommendations For Adobe Prelude versions 10.1 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent arbitrary code execution. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of M4A files from untrusted sources until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable module to minimize the risk of exploitation.

Fix

Buffer Overflow

Access of Memory Location After End of Buffer
