| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Fuji Electric V-Server Lite and Tellus Lite V-Simulator versions prior to 4.0.12.0
Description
The issue is related to a stack-based buffer overflow that occurs during the parsing of X1 files in the V-Simulator module. This may allow an attacker to achieve code execution. The vulnerability can be exploited remotely, potentially allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code using a specially crafted malicious file or webpage.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.0.12.0, update to version 4.0.12.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the V-Simulator module to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the V-Simulator module for parsing X1 files until the issue is resolved.
