CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Microsoft Edge versions prior to the fixed version Google Chrome versions prior to 93.0.4577.63
Description The issue is related to the implementation of WebRTC technology in the browser, specifically a use after free error. This could allow a remote attacker to impact the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information. The vulnerability can be exploited by an attacker who convinces a user to install a malicious extension, potentially leading to heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.
Recommendations For Microsoft Edge, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue. For Google Chrome versions prior to 93.0.4577.63, update to version 93.0.4577.63 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the installation of extensions and avoiding the use of crafted HTML pages until a patch is available.
