CVE-2021-37995

CVSS v3.1

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 95.0.4638.54
Description The issue is related to an inappropriate implementation in the WebApp Installer, allowing a remote attacker to potentially overlay and spoof the contents of the Omnibox (URL bar) via a crafted HTML page. This could be achieved by exploiting errors in the security check implementation for standard elements.
Recommendations For versions prior to 95.0.4638.54, update to version 95.0.4638.54 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of the WebApp Installer until a patch is applied. Avoid using crafted HTML pages that could exploit this issue in the affected versions.
