| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Premiere Rush versions 1.5.16 and earlier
Description
The issue is caused by insecure handling of a malicious WAV file, leading to a memory corruption vulnerability. This could result in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user, with user interaction required for exploitation. The vulnerability may also cause a buffer overflow in memory, potentially allowing a remote attacker to cause a denial of service.
Recommendations
For Adobe Premiere Rush versions 1.5.16 and earlier, update to a version later than 1.5.16 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of malicious WAV files to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict user interaction with potentially malicious files until a patch is available.
Fix
Access of Memory Location After End of Buffer
