Description
The issue is related to incorrect code generation management in the embedded software of NETGEAR Wi-Fi routers, which can lead to a server-side include injection (SSI) attack. This allows an attacker to execute malicious code on the server.
Recommendations
For NETGEAR RBK40, RBR40, RBS40, RBK20, RBR20, RBS20, RBK50, RBR50, RBS50 versions prior to 2.5.1.16, update to version 2.5.1.16 or later.
For NETGEAR RBS50Y version prior to 2.6.1.40, update to version 2.6.1.40 or later.
