Description
The issue is related to a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. This vulnerability could be exploited by an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. As a result, malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim's browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field. The vulnerability is also associated with insufficient protection of the web page structure, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations
For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.10.0 and below: Update to a version above 6.5.10.0 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe Experience Manager's Cloud Service offering: Consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available. Restrict access to vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using vulnerable form fields in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.
