| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Premiere Pro versions 22.0 (and earlier) and 15.4.2 (and earlier)
Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass mitigations such as ASLR. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file, potentially an MP4 file. This could allow a remote attacker to gain elevated privileges and access protected information.
Recommendations
For Adobe Premiere Pro versions 22.0 and earlier, update to a version later than 22.0 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe Premiere Pro versions 15.4.2 and earlier, update to a version later than 15.4.2 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of MP4 files from untrusted sources until a patch is available.
