Description The issue is related to insufficient protection of the web page structure, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code. It is a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that could be abused by an attacker to inject malicious scripts into vulnerable form fields. Malicious JavaScript may be executed in a victim’s browser when they browse to the page containing the vulnerable field.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.10.0 and below, consider disabling vulnerable form fields until a patch is available. For Adobe Experience Manager Cloud Service offering, restrict access to vulnerable form fields to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the execution of JavaScript code in browsers when accessing pages with vulnerable fields until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
