Description The issue is related to a Use After Free vulnerability that could allow an unauthenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file, specifically a specially crafted PDF file. This vulnerability can be leveraged by a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For versions 2021.001.20155 and earlier, update to a version later than 2021.001.20155 to resolve the issue. For versions 2020.001.30025 and earlier, update to a version later than 2020.001.30025 to resolve the issue. For versions 2017.011.30196 and earlier, update to a version later than 2017.011.30196 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of XFA templates in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC until a patch is available.
