CVSS v3.1

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Photoshop versions 22.5.4 and earlier Adobe Photoshop versions 23.1 and earlier
Description The issue is related to insecure handling of crafted files, potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. This is due to a buffer overflow vulnerability. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a crafted file in Photoshop. The vulnerability is also associated with the insecure copying of a buffer without checking the size of input data when processing PDF files, which could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For Adobe Photoshop versions 22.5.4 and earlier, update to a version later than 22.5.4 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Photoshop versions 23.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 23.1 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of Adobe Photoshop to open crafted or untrusted files until a patch is available.
