Description The issue is related to a use after free vulnerability in the Data Transfer component of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers. This vulnerability can be exploited by a remote attacker who convinces a user to engage in specific user interaction, potentially allowing the attacker to cause a denial of service or elevate their privileges via a specially crafted HTML page. The exploitation is related to heap corruption.
Recommendations For Google Chrome versions prior to 97.0.4692.99, update to version 97.0.4692.99 or later to resolve the issue. For Microsoft Edge, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
