Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
NETGEAR R8000 versions prior to 1.0.4.76
Description
The issue is related to a lack of input sanitization in the embedded software of NETGEAR R8000 routers. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary commands. An authenticated user can potentially inject commands, posing a security risk.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.0.4.76, update to version 1.0.4.76 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the router's interface to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
