CVSS v2.0
9.3
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Animate versions 21.0.9 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in memory. This could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code, but exploitation requires user interaction, specifically opening a malicious BMP file. The code execution occurs in the context of the current user.
Recommendations
For Adobe Animate versions 21.0.9 and earlier, update to a version that fixes this issue to prevent exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of BMP files from untrusted sources until a patch is available. Restrict access to potentially malicious files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Fix
