Description The issue is related to errors in resource release in the MySQL Server component, specifically in the Optimizer subsystem. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the MySQL network protocol. Successful attacks can result in the ability to cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server, leading to a complete denial of service. The vulnerability can be exploited by a high-privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols.
Recommendations For MySQL Server versions 8.0.27 and prior, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
