CVSS v3.1

9.6

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions tinyobjloader versions v2.0-rc1 through development commit 79d4421
Description An improper array index validation issue exists in the LoadObj functionality, allowing a specially crafted file to potentially lead to code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this issue, which may result in unauthorized access to confidential data, disruption of data integrity, and denial of service.
Recommendations For tinyobjloader versions v2.0-rc1 through development commit 79d4421, consider avoiding the use of the LoadObj functionality until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the loading of files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
