CVE-2020-23273

CVSS v2.0

7.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Tcpreplay version 4.3.2
Description The issue is related to a heap-buffer overflow in the randomize iparp function in edit packet.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service (DOS) via a crafted pcap file. This can be exploited by a remote attacker to disrupt service.
Recommendations For Tcpreplay version 4.3.2, consider disabling the randomize iparp function as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to crafted pcap files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
