Description The issue is related to insufficient input validation in the gThumb image processing application. It allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via a malformed JPEG image.
Recommendations For versions prior to 3.10.1, update to version 3.10.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of gThumb to process untrusted JPEG images until the update is applied.
