CVE-2021-42263

CVSS v2.0

7.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Premiere Pro versions 15.4.1 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a Null pointer dereference when parsing a specially crafted file. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this to achieve an application denial-of-service in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations For Adobe Premiere Pro versions 15.4.1 and earlier, consider avoiding the opening of files from untrusted sources until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the use of file parsing functions to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
