CVE-2021-40714

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.9.0 and earlier
Description The issue is related to a reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. It occurs via the accesskey parameter, allowing malicious JavaScript content to be executed within the context of the victim's browser if an attacker convinces the victim to visit a URL referencing a vulnerable page. The vulnerability is also described as being related to insufficient protection of the web page structure, which could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For Adobe Experience Manager versions 6.5.9.0 and earlier, consider disabling the use of the accesskey parameter as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to vulnerable pages to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
