Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe Premiere Pro versions 15.4.1 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to a null pointer dereference when parsing a specially crafted file. An unauthenticated attacker could leverage this to achieve an application denial-of-service in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations
For Adobe Premiere Pro versions 15.4.1 and earlier, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent potential exploitation. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the opening of files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of triggering the null pointer dereference.
Fix
NULL Pointer Dereference
