| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe After Effects versions 18.2.1 and earlier
Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in Adobe After Effects when parsing a specially crafted file. This could allow an unauthenticated attacker to disclose arbitrary memory information in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations
For Adobe After Effects versions 18.2.1 and earlier, update to a version that fixes the out-of-bounds read vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of specially crafted files that could trigger the vulnerability. Restrict access to untrusted files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
