VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Delta Electronic DOPSoft 2 versions 2.00.07 and prior
Description The issue is caused by a lack of proper validation of user-supplied data when parsing specific project files, which could result in multiple out-of-bounds write instances. An attacker could leverage this to execute code in the context of the current process. The vulnerability is also described as a buffer overflow in dynamic memory, which may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For Delta Electronic DOPSoft 2 versions 2.00.07 and prior, update to a version that includes proper validation of user-supplied data when parsing project files to prevent out-of-bounds write instances. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the parsing of specific project files until a patch is available.
