Description The issue is related to an improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory, also known as a 'Path Traversal' vulnerability. This allows an authenticated attacker to disclose information via a crafted GET request with malicious parameter values.
Recommendations For Fortinet FortiPortal versions 5.3.x through 5.3.5, update to version 5.3.6 or later. For Fortinet FortiPortal versions 6.0.0 through 6.0.4, update to version 6.0.5 or later. For Fortinet FortiPortal versions prior to 6.2.5, update to version 6.2.5 or later. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the vulnerable GET request endpoint until a patch is available.
