Description The vulnerability is related to a use-after-free issue in the netfilter component of the Linux kernel. This issue can be exploited to potentially elevate privileges in the system. The vulnerability was reported by syzbot and is associated with the nft set catchall destroy function in net/netfilter/nf tables api.c. The use-after-free occurs when trying to access the @catchall element after it has been freed using kfree rcu(). The vulnerability can be triggered through the netlink release function, which is called when a socket is closed.
Recommendations At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
