Description
The issue is related to an uninitialized value in the
asix mdio read() function. Specifically, asix read cmd() may read less than sizeof(smsr) bytes, resulting in smsr being uninitialized. This can lead to a denial of service. The vulnerability is identified by the KMSAN (Kernel Memory Sanitizer) with error messages indicating an uninitialized value in asix check host enable and asix mdio read() functions.Recommendations
